Rhyming Words Bones Puzzles - After taking turns to complete all the bones students draw to show a rhyming pair.
Listening Center and Games
Listening Center: Students listened to Shaggy Dog and the Terrible Itch. I recorded a CD of MYSELF reading this book on Garage Band on my Macbook a few years ago. This is a great idea if you are in need of books on CD. Took very little time and I was able to record a reminder for listening center procedures at the beginning of the CD!
Games Center: Students worked on two file folder games that were donated to my classroom a few years ago. Color words match and beginning sounds match.
Puzzles and Dramatic Play
Puzzles: Noah's Ark Floor Puzzle - we just finished this lesson in Bible
Dramatic Play: Vet supplies and pet puppets. Can also be used to retell pet books.
Reading and Handwriting
Reading: Pet themed book basket
Handwriting: Same seek and find activity as last week!
